MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

 

All American Horseplay is an equestrian drill team predominately consisting of 18 year old and younger riders. We welcome and love to have moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents to join their family member and be apart of our team. Member must show team spirit and a desire to learn her/his position. 

                    

Membership – At the discretion of the President she will consider a person for membership or removal of membership based on the rider’s display of good/bad behavior and the rider’s horse display of good/bad behavior as a rule. Members will not be voted in or out by other members.

                                                                                                                            

Removal of MembershipAt the discretion of the President – she will remove membership and the now ex-member will be advised via telephone, face to face, and/or asked to leave practice or performances for the following reasons:

 

Too, too bossy, demanding, cynical, sarcastic

Loud-mouthed with other members, family, friends

Yelling and getting overboard with his/her horse

Endangering other members/horses

Starting animosity

Not adhering to schedule – excessively

No cussing, offensive remarks – excessively

Not cooperating with others

Talking ugly about another rider’s horse

Not listening and/or doing your own thing – during routine runs

Brawling, fighting, belligerent

Not accepting constructive criticism

 

CriticismA rider, member, family, friend, or anyone during practice gives constructive criticism – it must be in the most politely and kindly manner to the rider and/or horse.  Based on the opinion of the President – If it appears YOU haven’t conveyed constructive criticism - YOU will be asked (on behalf of the rider/horse) to please not make further comment/s for the betterment and the morale of the team.

 

Unable to attend practice or performance – “It’s OK” however, please call and let the captain know to adjust for the empty space. We do have alternate riders with horses.

DuesThe team is not yet taken dues.

 

Coggins - All riders must have Coggins proof on their horse/horses.

 

MeetingsThe team will hold meetings after practice at the beginning of the month unless otherwise announced. The captain will conduct a short update meeting each practice.

 

Practice & Performance time - Riders/s should be ready for practice 15 minutes before time.  Rider/s should be ready for performance 30 minutes before time.  Practice will last only 2 hours.
