HISTORY

10 year old --- Founder/Captain – Nasya XuXa (ShuSha) Dyer was a member of another drill team (all adults).  Around April of 2003, XuXa begin thoughts of having her own team. This team would consist mostly of kids around her age.  She started talking to friends about the idea and they thought it would be a good idea. At the time, her drill team members were going hot and heavy with practice after practice for the upcoming competition. Practices for competitions were not fun.  Especially with some of the adults!!  XuXa asked one member during a practice that if she started up her own team would she let her daughter join. The team member said YES.

XuXa and her mom talked to the drill team captain of the possibility of making an extended kid team.  However, a short time later, XuXa and her mom decided that the idea would not work.  So, XuXa and her mom went with the plan of XuXa having her very own team.  Thus, the team was born.  XuXa mentioned to her close friend Zach that she started up anew team. Zach said he wanted in and he would be her first member.  Together they wrote a prospect list of friends (that have horses). Zach and XuXa called the names on the list and pitched the team to them. On May 1th - XuXa asked Chris to join and he said yes.  Others said they would check with their parents and get back with her/him.

XuXa’s last practice with her old team – XuXa (after practice) stopped and asked Destiny if she was still interested in joining her new team. XuXa told Destiny that her new team was called 100% American Horseplay.  XuXa asked Destiny to be a co-captain and was accepted.  Destiny’s mom advised XuXa that she was still going to be on the old team and go to competition but as soon as she could would join her team.

First meeting was June 5, 2003. It was decided “100%” would be replaced with “All”. XuXa picked rainbow colors for the team uniform because she said the look will entertain the young at heart.  Color currently includes; Lime green, purple, red, orange, blue, yellow, Hunter green.  Needed still; white, pink, black, burgundy.

We currently have a daughter and her dad, daughter and her mom, son and his mom for team members. We welcome adults with their kids to join. Contact us @ 903-887-3517.
